Bill, thanks for your input. I haven't spent much time designing my system as yet. We only purchased our 5ver in the fall of 08. I try to think of anything that can possibly go wrong, with a project, before I start cutting and welding stuff. My dad was a maintenence machinist, so I guess I got some talent from him, and of course God. Anyway, maybe I'll do some tests with some conduit we have where I work. I'll keep you posted.

We used the slideout jacks in Desert Hot springs last year. When the wind came up the 5er was rocking but the slides were staying put so as it rocked the top of the slides moved in & out. Jerked the jacks out immediatly and have only used them under the main-frame for additional support since.

I recall being told by Either Keystone or our dealer that the slids can only stand about 1/4 inch of flex.

We had slide jacks also, another one of those things that other RVer's had and thought I needed them, use them one time and I guess they are still in the storage building. I wouldn't recomend them. Slide outs are self supporting if they were in need of slide jacks it would be a option. GBY...
