AC Vents

Hi
Here is another one for you that I can't find out from the dealer. I found out how to get the AC filter down to clean it, but the vent next to it where you slid it to let air go to the back and the front is dirty too, it looks like it has two plugs in it can you pull it out or what there must be a way to clean it without standing on the counter. Our dealer told us that that is what you have to do, and what about all the other AC vents can you just pull them off for cleaning or will they break. I just can't stand all the vents getting black with dirt and as you know it don't take long.... We live out in the middle of nowhere and have a lot of wind everyday that does this...Thank you for all information..
