Duo Therm 15K AC

I wonder if the AC freezing up is normal. I had to shut the AC off for 3 hours to let it thaw out. There was ice frozen on the inside right above the filter. I had left the AC on a setting of 75 degrees at low fan speed for the day in a temperture of 95 degrees. I was told that I should run the AC on high speed fan. I did after that and didn't have any problems. I didn't receive any instructions with the AC.
