roof screws

My large slide has screws popping through the roof of the slide where the roof meets the outer slide wall panel. It looks like it is where the roof plywood attaches on the outside end. They are covered with some sort of tape and then sealed. Only a few of the screw heads have appeared and only a partial part of the head. It looks like they weren't set far enough. I plan on resetting them but not really sure what to cover them with as they move across the rubber weather seal on the trailer wall when the slide closes. Whatever I use would have to be durable and unaffected by the rubber seal rubbing on it.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave
