I switched to LPG because charcoal grill was to light weight. Works for us. I also carry a 1 burner Coleman "stove" that I use to cook fish and using a grill pan for grilling outside the Monty . Also stopped carrying small LP bottle. I use the small green LP containers. Just simplified stuff for me.

We do not cook at all in the Monty, a propane and charcoal combo grill. propane for the everyday cooking and the charcoal for the steaks.

Was at Dick's Sporting Goods today, and happen to see one of these. Just might have to add it to my collection. Folds up into a small package also. Price was $43..

Strictly lump charcoal on my Weber Jumbo Joe, both indirect and direct depending on what I'm cooking.

Also use a Traeger Scout pellet cooker for long slow cooks so I don't have to constantly monitor the heat and I can do something else. (Like a pork butt or small brisket flat.)

Was a strictly charcoal man until the campgrounds out west banned charcoal grills and fires. Went to a Cuisinart gas grill, Coleman two burner stove and just added a small Blackstone grill to the fun. We camp a lot with friends and do group meals.

Pellet and Propane

Pellet smoker for me (low and slow).
Propane for the wife ( hot and fast).
We are full timers so we have bigger grills.
When we did travel we have a small propane.

Propane camp chef 3 burner with grill box and griddle. We can cook for an army on this thing.

Has anyone seen the blue rhino razor griddle, that thing is big and heavy 120 lbs.
