The order is in!

Sold my truck this week and ordered a new one. I was torn between the Chevy and GMC, but I have always gotten good service at the Chevy dealer, whereas the GMC has only been so-so. So the Chevrolet dealer put in my order yesterday for a 2015 crew cab Silverado 3500, and yes, this one has training wheels. It wasn't that I wanted a dually, but the weight of our newer trailer put us into that range.

Now the waiting begins!

And then there's the new sig picture and the mods. I recall the prior Chevy had a bunch o' neat mods.

Congratulations. Those are great looking trucks. When will you take delivery?

Smart man. That's what I've been saying for years...you get what you NEED, not what you WANT.

GM's website is saying 9 to 12 weeks but I'm working on some old contacts to see if I can get it a bit sooner.

Can't wait to see it. Probably at the fall rally.

Congratulations, Tom! My dealer sells both. I had a wide selection to pick from on his lot. I too, was thinking pretty serious of ordering a 2015 but, shortly learned that I could get a way better deal by taking what I needed off his lot. I had nearly $12000 worth of incentives off the 2014 compared to next to nothing on the '15. I am positive you will love what you're gonna' get!!

That's the plan, though I may have to re-design the mounting brakets to make them work. Those and the hitch was about the only thing I removed from the truck before selling.

That's awesome and congratulations!!! I'll be interested to see how you like it, and what you think of the training wheels. Please send an update report after you've had some time with it and let us know what you think!

Maybe trucks with training wheels should come with bumper rails for those not yet used to them!

To that end, I made sure I got the 'parking assist' option!

I leave my mirrors extended, if my mirrors don't clear, my fenders won't

How does that work going backwards?

Dealer says the truck is scheduled for delivery next Wednesday. Woo hoo! Then off to the rust proofer and Reese.
