Frig temps Dometic 1350 4 door.

Thought I had solved my problems by adding baffle and insulation but this past trip again had problem with frig temp staying 41-43 for most of the time. (using propane, no hookups) Service tech says 41 is OK and is target point for most units. I've not heard that before, seems too warm for food safety. Have you heard that temp being OK? Will call Dometic next week to see what they say. Outside weather 75 days, 45 nights.

We just returned from southern Ca. and Yuma Az. with temps ranging 108 to 115 and our 1350 on 4 run 34 to 37 degrees. 41 won't keep milk and etc. very long.

36 to 38 average is what we experience. Warms up a bit during the defrost mode, then drops back down.

I am also battling high fridge temps in my Norcold 4 door. Temp in freezer is -10, fridge is never below 40. Here is the answer I received by email from Norcold.
"If your unit is not cooling properly you should take it into an Authorized Service Center so they can diagnose the problem with the refrigerator. The temperature should be 32 to 40 degrees in the fresh food compartment. We recommend you use a water temp to test the temperature. Put a glass of water with a food thermometer in it inside the fresh food compartment, after two hours read the temp. "

Hope this helps you.

In our opinion that temp is not cold enough and there is a problem of some kind.

Long story but we have lost all confidence in these large 4 door fridges and will never have another. I have also heard a rumor that Dometic is discontinuing them., who knows?

We have the Domedic in ours and it stays at 34 except during defrost cycles. That said when we picked up the reg when new they had to change out the refrigerator. As a result I have little confidence in it. I am forever checking the temperature to make sure everything is OK. That makes the wife crazy. I ask you guys is that a bad thing I would love to replace it with a residential unit, but I don't like the stainless steel look and DW veto that idea.

I put a rf temp sensor inside, receiver on counter...temp at a glance. Rv fridges can be maddening. Temp this morning inside fridge was 33, outside was low 70's. Now 83 out, fridge at 37. Will swing a degree or two when we open doors, but goes back to what it was before within hour. Butchy, have you repositioned the sensor inside on the fins? Mine is about an inch from top of fin that it is clipped to. John
