How cold is your Norcold freezer
Just bought a 2015 3160 rl with the 4 door Norcold. The freezer only gets down to 10 and the right hand bottom door doesn't always stay completely shut. I think freezers should be at zero. I have the setting at 8, with a battery fan in bottom. Is this a normal temp for Rv freezers?

Ours is set to 5, and the freezer is at 10 degrees or a bit lower, and the sodas and beer in the fridge are perfectly cold. Ice cream, the rare occasions that we have it, when on the left side of the freezer, is kept very solid, so we are very happy with it. After thinking about it, maybe a dedicated deep freezer might be expected to be at zero, but I don't think most household refrigerators are normally that cold in the freezer section, and anything 20 degrees or better is good, and ice cream hardness is usually a good indicator of good temperature.

I think maybe the catch to hold doors may needs adjusting , is that something that can be done?

I know the Freezer on our Norcold would only get into the mid-teens and Ice cream was always soft. Now with our Residential fridge, freezer is at 0 and Ice cream is nice and firm.

The Norcold in our 3160 is about 10 and everything is frozen. Below 20 degrees should be no issue. We had a problem with moisture in the fridge section. The flapper between the two doors was not closing. Fixed now.

I added two fiber washers to the right side facing bottom door hinge on mine. The latch would not hold the door closed without them. Had some frost issues with the freezer though.

I monitor my Norcold freezer with a digital. It has been all over the place in temp ranges for the last 2 years. Recently I may get readings of between 7 to 10 degrees for a week and then have a few days/nights where it jumps up to 17-22 degrees for a few hours. The stupid thing has done this since it was new.

Joe,
That's pretty much what ours did. It would go weeks running fine and then the temps would fluctuate all over. Is this until it finally did you know what to the bed!
