Where might I find the battery converter on 3400RL

Greetings!

We are having problems with our battery getting charged. First we replaced it and when that didn't help we called the dealership, who told us to check the fuse on the converter (I think that is what they said anyway).

He said we could find it behind the fuse boxes in the bathroom. However, we can't find it there. Maybe we just don't know what we are looking for?

Any guidance would be really appreciated.

This is a 2008 3400RL.

Thanks!

I formerly had a 2008 3400RL and am pretty sure the converter was under the stairwell.

David is probably correct, there were two locations that were used on the 3400 depending on year. Our 2007 had it located behind the breaker/fuse pane in the compartment over the washer/dryer closet. Some models, and evidently yours, had it located under the steps to the bedroom. It should be accessible by removing the bottom-most step riser with the vents in it. The other way is to access it through the basement, which requires removal of the basement inside wall.

It IS under the stairs, use a flash light and look through the bottom grate and you will see it on the right or dead center under the bottom step. You can access it by removing the bottom grate..

Just an fyi, the 2007 has it in the bathroom above the shelf. I guess that dealer's guy didn't realize it was moved for 2008.
