Canada Campgrounds

Greetings, my wife and I will be visiting Canada soon to visit my son and his wife that live near Montreal. Our plan is to take the Monty and go to Prince Edward Island for a week or so, and then camp at a campground that is maybe 50 miles or so from Montreal. Preferably west of the city as they live in Laval. First, I was hoping someone here can give their view on Twin Shores Camping Area on Prince Edward Island, and any recommendations for a good camground near Montreal. Thanks

We have been regulars at Twin shores for 30 years. Fantastic campground. Miles of beautiful beach to walk on. It is very busy we book any mid summer visits a year in advance. We will be there 1st 2 weeks in Aug if out for an evening stroll and see a Monty stop for a visit.

One of the very best campgrounds is Camping Alouette which is rated 10/10/10 by Good Sam. We have stayed there several times. It is, however, east of Montreal. We stayed at Marco Polo Lands Campground in Cavendish P.E.I. and were very happy with it.
