2nd AC Questions

Well this is the first unit I have had with dual AC, and I'm looking for some clarification on the operations of the bedroom AC...
The thermostat for the coach is mid unit, it controls the AC and heat. When I have the fan set to AUTO , the AC cycles as needed. Shuts off once the temp is reached, and then turns back on when needed.
The AC upstairs has another thermostat, same as the other, except it doesn't control the furnace, just the second AC unit. I set that to a temp, if I put that fan on AUTO, the unit never cycles on or off. Today, I have it set to 68 upstairs, and it never kicked on, and according to the gauge the temp was 73. I guess my question is does the second AC not cycle on and off based on temperature setting? Is the second thermostat just ao ON/OFF switch , for better sense, for the second AVC?When I set the fan to HI or LO it comes on no problem, but then it is on until I **** it off. Assuming it's a Dometic unit we are having problems with our front A\C, first it would not shut off at all and now only runs 15 seconds and then off for about a minute then back on and off again. When I first took it in the dealer they knew exactly what the problem was and oredered the parts to repair, sounded like A/c units built in a certain time frame had this problem? We dropped ours off with leveling problems Friday and the parts were in so hoping to have it back Tuesday. We also have a 2016, I would call the dealer asap.

I'm going to call them after this trip. It works when it's on and the fan is set to HI or LOW just doesn't cycle when on auto. But in not sure if it is supposed to.

It should cycle on auto when the thermostat calls for it.

Kozzy, is it not factory installed? Our upstairs air is controlled by the same thermostat in the main area. The main area is Zone 1 and the bedroom is Zone 2. Perhaps the bigger units are set up different.

It is factory installed but I don't have the dual zone thermostat in my coach
