Need advice on Video control centers
The discussion on True Sat Prep got me to thinking about what type of Video Control Centers are available out there. I found two fairly popular ones. AudioVox/ Flexvision has the AVC-530 version and Wineguard has the VS-5312 version.
Has anyone used either one and what do you recommend.
I am leaning toward the AudioVox one.
Followup: So now I have done some more research and like the looks of the Winegard VS-6412. It will handle the 2 inside TV's and a third outside TV along with a special DVD input. And you can modify the factory Ant booster and use the VS-6412 booster on any TV selected. I downloaded the manual and it looks like it will give me a true Sat Prep system. $116.00 at camping World. The VS-5312 will do most of what the 6412 will do less the DVD function for about $50. But I am still considering the higher priced one?
Any suggestions or experience?

I have the wineguard vs-5312. I used the vcr in/outputs for my dvd recorder. To do this I had to use an RF modulator on the output of the dvd recorder. I also added a second tv port through the side of the fiver for a true sat ready setup for situations where I can't use the tracvision ant.

Thank you for the information, Fred and Jim.
I thought I had read your previous post Jim. Thank you for the reply.
I ordered the Winegard setup. I am tired of moving cables to switch sources to outputs.

Gee, I am truly innocent and uninformed on this topic. What, exactly, is a 'video control center'?

How have you been Steve? The Video Control Center is the official name for the switch box that you connect all you TV inputs through (Sat, Cable,VCR, ANT & DVD). Then you connect all your TV's to it and you have push button selection for your various sources to multiple TV's. See Camping World Item #21897 & #26698.
I have seen them factory installed on some of the top of the line Class A's and Fifth Wheelers. It might be an option Keystone should make available for probably less than $100.

Aha, thanks, Don. And how are you? My latest pc desktop picture is one of the many I took from your plane. So many awesome shots from that ride!
Thanks for the explanation of the VCC.

My techy daughter is making one for us. She is used to making these for theater productions. So if you don't want to put out that much dough, you can make one.
Happy trails............................
