Water Pump Location??

Anyone know where the water pump is in the 3400? Ours recently started vibrated pretty loudly and I want to check it out. Is it under the steps? I have tried to follow the noise, but so far no luck.

You should find your pump behind your convenience center (where you hook up outside water). You will have to pull the wall in the basement that angles around the convenience center.
Do some research on this form for pump noise. NCFISCHER and others have quieted theirs down and documented it.

Some have added a one or two gallon accumulator tank to prevent the machine gun effect on the pump when just drizzling water.

Good luck and let us know what you do.

We have a 2012 3582 and noticed that the water pump makes a terriible vibrating noise when running. It is much louder than on our old Tahoe Tailer and since wwe are having the dealer do some warranty repair soon I told them to check to see if it is screwed down. If that does not work i will have to do something else. Is there anything to putting an accumulator tank in ? Or other ideas ?

The accumulator will help with rapid cycling, to deal with the noise you need to put some rubber grommets under the mounting screws or just a whole sheet of rubber under the pump in it's entirety.

I found the pump and put a rubber mat under it. Not an easy access, but it did the trick. Hopefully it will last awhile (or until it shakes loose again). Once again, MOC to the rescue! Thank you!

Thanks DQDick and JacknBetsy for the suggestions. I will get a rubber sheet and perhaps the dealer will install when they look at it if not then I will do so later. Your right MOC to the rescue. I am amazed when i see stories of other Montana owners when told about the web site are not more interested. I wish i had known about it before we bought ours. Would have still bought our unit but there would have been some changes the biggest of which was Marthons for Goodyear 614's which would have saved me some money. All in all we are very happy with our unit. Even better today since i found the elusive "hiding spot". Doesn't hide a lot but it is nice. Would hide a Kel Tec. :-)

The trouble with hiding a Kel Tec is finding one in the first place to be able to hide...
