Major problem???

I have what I think may be a major problem. When I use the black tank flush water runs out from under the bathroom sink. It is coming from a white plastic piece that has two black plastic water lines to it. It kept leeking until I went out and unhooked the water hose from the side of the trailer. It was leaking even when the water was not turned on the black tank flush hose. I called a Montana dealer and he said it is called a vacuum break switch and it is for the black tank flush. Does anyone know what it does or how hard it is to change.
