Bedroom slide

We got home from a week of being out. When I went to open the bedroom slide it moved about an inch and then it sounded like a gear had striped and it would move further out. would move back in however so I was able to close it.

Also I have three wiper seals on the slide outs that have ripped and have to be replaced. Beginning to wonder about quality on the newer Montana. We had a 2011 that never gave us a problem of any kind and this 2015 has had it share of problems. All three holding tank valves and cable have already been replaced and now this. I still like the Montana and feel comfortable with it out on the road. Just saying it seems as if quality is slipping

First thing we need to know is, is your bedroom slide hydralic or electric?

If you stand on the bed you should be able to see the motor and pulleys. If everything looks right there then look for something caught under the bed.

Depends on the year. Our 2018.5 has the Schwentek electric slides with no cables. On the system like ours the 2 electric motors can get out of sync if you syop/start while extending or retracting. Search You Tube for self-fix for this.

Oops I reread OP and see you have 2015 which should be cable type. Sorry to waste your time.

Are you sure you don't have to much weight in the under bed storage?? Had an issue with our BAL cable slide system and it was just to much weight in the storage causing the thin storage floor to be resting on the bedroom floor. I was able to push the slide out while partner held the switch, once we lightened the load worked again.

Mine had the two wheels come off the bottom of the bed frame due to improper screws used to attach. I used good longer wood screws and beefed up the frame at that point.
