I made it! almost, kind of

Last Monday (10/30) after 37 years my company and I parted ways(by mutual choice). After a years severance I will officially "retire". It's been a week now and I feel no longing to go back so I guess I made the right decision Donna and I have been looking forward to this for a long time. We don't plan to fulltime but do expect to put a lot of miles on the Montana. We also hope to make some of the ralleys if our parents health holds. Hope to see you down the road.

Congratulations Mike and Donna! Happy days ahead!

That's how I want to do it. Keep the stick house and burn some tread every chance I get.

"Free at last, free at last." Congratulations!! So glad you have a plan. Statistically, retirement is not too good for those who don't. Happy RVing....

Congrats Mike (and Donna). I hope you enjoy your new-found freedom. I have left jobs I didn't love and never looked back. And this RV lifestyle beats any job, even the ones I did love!

Congrats on your retirement! I'm doing the same thing now. I thought I would really miss the routine of my job but I can hardly believe how good it feels to not be so tied down. Wishing you safe and happy travels! Marilyn

Thanks to all for your good wishes. We feel really blessed. Our health is good, the grandchildren are close by (as is the Montana). I'm surprised at how much I don't miss work. I have been busy around the house and trying to stay out of Donna's way. I have my hobbies that have languished for too long. I really waited a week to see if I had any remorse but I just feel relief, I guess I was ready. Once again thanks for your good wishes.
