New MOC Member "Grumpy"

Hello to everyone. I chose the name "GRUMPY" because Janie my wife tells me I am, but I'm really a nice guy.

We ordered a 3400RL Montana yesterday from Holiday World in Houston, Texas.

I am in the process of ordering a Silverado 2500 HD with Duramax and Allison tranny.

We are looking forward to getting started. Will be attending many Dog Shows as Janie (Grumpy's Wife) shows our Australian Shepherds Bella & Ruby.

Looking forward to participating in this forum and getting to know everyone. I have been reading a lot and everyone seems to be really helpful on here. I am sure I will need your suggestions and help.

Welcome, and congratulations on the new rigs. I'm sure you'll enjoy both, and you'll travel to those dog shows in comfort. Safe travels.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your choice of a Montana.

We have a mixed furry friend and contribute a lot of her sweetness to her Australian Shepherd Heritage.

Congratulations on the order of your new 3400; that appears to be the most popular model going right now with many happy owners here. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask—someone here will be able to help!

Well, hecky darn, another Houstonian!! I know Holiday World too. Did you go to Katy or the lot on the Gulf Freeway? I didn't buy from them because I found a sweet deal on a previously enjoyed and well kept unit with a price I couldn't resist. We sold out in the Clear Lake area and are now official Nomads.

Welcome to the forum and I know you will enjoy the information resource and the camaraderie of these Montana nuts. Happy RVing...

Welcome to the forum, Grumpy! Our 3400 is coming out of the factory July 17. Buying this Montana (or any camper) and getting in my truck and taking off would have been an extremely painful experience without the MOC. I hate to think...

I had a wise man tell me once (maybe more than once, now that I think about it), "A wise man (or woman) does not say 'I'll learn by my mistakes' - he dilligently learns from the mistakes of others."

Welcome to the forum where you will find as answer to just about every question that can be asked. Lots of wonderful very experienced people that are willing to share.

We just purchased our 3400 last month and will pull it with our 2500 HD Silverado, Duramax, Allison, and it is a long bed. We haven't been on any trips yet as we own a dog and cat boarding kennel. Hubby is an insurance adjuster and the Monty will be his home away from home when working.

We used to love to show Rough Collies years ago and the Monty would have been alot easier than hauling everything in a van and trying to find a motel that would take dogs.

It was suggested that you do a through check of you Monty before you sign on the dotted line. That is great advice as we did find some things wrong with ours before we took delivery.
