Choctaw COE campground Greers Ferry Lake,AR
Choctaw COE campground at Greers Ferry Lake, AR. is our primary local place to stay. We have had a boat in the marina there in the past and our friends are still docked there.
There are a lot of RV campsites but only a few are suitable for longer units. There are a few really nice sites close to the water on the "D" loop but rest are not directly on the water. There is no sewer or water at the sites (we rarely stay more than a couple days (usually to fish a tournament, take the grandkids tubing/swimming or visit with friends). There is a dump station and drinking water is available at that location but we always bring our own. Dump station is very difficult to get into with a large unit as well.
ONLY reason I am reviewing this park is because I am so familiar with it. I do not recommend it during the peak season but if your coming thru the area during the off season it is good for a few nights.
The accomodations at all the COE campgrounds on Greers Ferry Lake are about the same. COE campgrounds on the Arkansas River in the state usually have water (but no sewer hookups) and most are a little more accessible for longer rigs. Tar Camp (South of Little Rock) in particular has some really nice long sites along the water front. But be aware that mosquitos can be an issue at the river campgrounds during the summer months.....
