I have one and that was the source of my information.

Page A15 of the 2018 Rand McNally Deluxe Motor Carries' Road Atlas states there is not national standard but the lowest height enforced at the state level is 13'5. Page A14 size limits for interstate routes.

True. Raising the suspension on the rv won't change the height but taller tires on the tow vehicle or an hitch that is higher than normal could cause some problem. I've seen trucks with lift kits hauling rv's and they are asking for trouble.

atlas and website have it at 11'4" and $15.00 fee. Maybe they have repaved it

11'4" is the height where a permit is required.
13'1" is the maximum height for transit.

Yeah, but then the 5th wheel would not be level. I think we all agree that each one of us should measure their unit they way they are set up. Otherwise you will never really know.

The Feds do not have a commercial regulation for height like they do for weight for example, you are correct. However, even though they have allowed each state to set their own limit it was not without their approval and blessing. But like I stated, all that does not apply to RVs anyway.

Correct, the only thing that applies to RV's are the concrete overpasses.

What? If you raise your suspension, the RV is then sits taller, if you lower the RV suspension, then the RV sits lower, as for changing tires, with RV tires, you won't gain much if any more clearance.

The highest point of your Montana is the front a/c. Yes if you raise the suspension then the rear of your rv will be higher but have no effect on the front.This would be like jacking up your truck at the rear, the rear will raise but the front won't.
