Attic insulation

Please, don't everyone think I've lost my mind, but I've got an idea and a question. I know, it's scary when I get to thinking, but all that aside, Has anyone thought of blowing more insulation into the attic area of their Monty? We already have 2 openings front and rear with those funny looking vents so hole cutting would/should be minimal to get insulation to the middle of the roof. Also would added weight be a factor? Please give me your thoughts on this or should I just go fishing and forget about it?

A bad day fishing is always better than any day working

I thought Montana roofs were already R-38 with the existing batting up there. I think you'ld have a difficult time getting anything of use blown past the batting and each roof truss. It's not just free air space up there. I can dig you some really good worms ...........

If you watch them being built at the factory you'd probably forget this idea. They run the main wiring up there and a lot of other stuff. Trying to get decent coverage blowing it in would be almost impossible.

Geez, it was just a thought. Ok, fishing it is. It seemed like more work than I wanted to do anyway.

I like the idea, if I could do it with any degree of success I would, but as our learned members have stated, it would be tough, the way the things are built.

I don't know about the new Monty's, but I would be lucky to have R-13 in mine. I have had a few spots open
