Talk about HIGH fuel prices............
Don't know about the rest of the state but the cost of diesel in Northern California is out of this world. On average diesel is in the 3.30s and the lowest price we were able to find is 3.179.
On our entire trip from Florida to Missouri to New York and all the way to Oregon the highest we paid was 2.99 but in most cases it was in the high 2.80s.
I was told the further south you go the worse it gets. I'm glad when we leave our current location we will be heading back north.

Glenn, here in Northern Ca, (Forestville & Santa Rosa) we are paying from $2.999 - $3.159 for diesel. It has been holding steady at that price for about a month now.

Our diesel fuel just went up. It had been running 30 cents below regular. Regular is now about $2.88 and diesel is $3.09 just over the CA border into Oregon. Two weeks ago we got diesel for $2.71. I suspect they will give us the old story that it is time to stock up for winter fuel.

Roy, we've notice the same trend here in Kansas and Oklahoma. Sure hate it when diesel is more expensive than regular. Wonder what caused the switch.

Probably because the United States exports diesel to Europe in exchange for gas.

And it's gonna get higher....crude oil futures were up today $2.30/bbl. Judy, the refinery that was flooded in Coffeyville, Ks. a few weeks back is the reason prices are higher in Kansas and Oklahoma. Reports I've heard it say it will not be back on line for several months, maybe a year.
