How do you know if you qualify? I had the front end recall done last year.
We are still on the road, guess I will check with my dealer when I get back in Sept. Not really looking to get a new one. Only got 60,000 mi.

poloace: go to the link that jackel1959 posted and enter your VIN #. it will tell you all of the recalls available on your truck. If the front suspension one is still open then you should qualify.

What they are trying to fix or could not fix is the Dodge death wobble.... If you have ever had it you know you had it...hit a bump and your steering wheel jumps out of your hand and shakes violently till you get slowed down. Most trucks are running fine, mine included. Mine does have the Rancho double steering stabilizer though. But from what my dealer has told me they are suppose to offer total sale price when new MINUS depreciation (read Blue Book trade value) plus 10%. But like he said he is not sure if that will be on trucks that they have tried to fix and could not or all of them. Heck, with the price of new trucks, with what mine has on it, they could not offer me enough to "trade" my truck in...since I have never had a problem with it.

Thanks. The front suspension recall was done last year.
Guess I'll keep this one a while.

Note, I read that the buyback is at the current depreciated price of the vehicle and not necessarily enough to get you a new vehicle. It would behoove the current owners to wait for the fix (yes, the first fix did not necessarily work, but there is supposed to be a new one). Also, the 500,000 trucks being recalled are not all the same model. I understand several models are involved and each model may have different issues. My sentiments to current Dodge owners, but as a 2006 Ford 6.0 PSD owner, I can attest we aren't all out of the woods (thanks for the reminder, mlh).
