Ford 2003 - 2007 owners

If you own a Ford with the Diesel engine built in 03 - 07 you may want to check this out.

Too bad I didn't have these problems to get reimbursed, but it's also too bad I didn't have any of these problems, because they just might occur later and then what? I do baby my 2006 6.0PSD because I DON'T want problems but I do tow loads, just very carefully (no speeding, no pedal to the metal, no hard starting or stopping and have been able to avoid panic situations from me or others)!

I also read there's a six year limit and now I'm at 7 and a half years of ownership and the warranty ran out (currently at 99,700 miles now). Does that mean it's on my dime? Thanks for the article.

Thanks for the reminder, Wayne. I'd been tracking that. Had several of those problems w/my '04 F-250.

And there is a good chance you never will, IMO one of the best Ford Gas motors built, they have their limitations and that is why I sold mine but Dang I loved that motor it Never broke no mater how hard I pushed it

Thanks for the post. Reading through the settlement synopsis I have a little too many miles to qualify for any re-imbursements. I did have some work done on the engine after I purchased it but at that time it had over 300K on it. According to the settlement it has to be within the first 135K or 6-years. Oh well, overall it’s been a good one and still going.
