Refrigerator Isn't Working

I don't have time to search but inside the refrigerator do you increase the cooling by moving the thermostat sensor on the metal vane up or down? Just can't remember.

Seems last last night it may have stopped working. Checked fuses, there is power to the unit, there is a full bottle of propane but it looks like it will not cool down. I totally powered it down and am bringing it back up to see if it will cool.

Anything else I can check or troubleshoot?

Thanks

Up or North to increase cooling. If you are running on gas insure the burner is lighting and staying lite. If not you may need to clean the burner tube. Jim

My Norcold started doing the same thing, little by little it got warmer and warmer no matter what I did and it is only a 5 month old 5th turns out the whole cooling unit is bad ..GO FIGURE??? good thing it is still on warranty. The telltale sign was when it was on LP it would not stop trying to heat the cannister and it got REAL HOT!! that means it has a blockage in the tube, so says NORCOLD and the dealer that looked at it..DANG WHAT A HASSLE! I hope that is not your problem

Like others have said, check to see if it will run on propane. Give the burner tube a swab for spider webs. If it will run on propane, once it has been running for awhile, check the cooling unit. From outside compartment, lower one. If you look in and up you will see part of the cooling unit, black color wide tube. If if feels warm to the touch, it is working, if it is cold, time for a new cooling unit. With your being a 2005, could be the problem. My 2006 did the same thing got warm, cleaned burner tube, work for awhile then got warm again, turned out to be the cooling unit.

Just got a call from Camping World, testing and troubleshooting showed a failed cooling unit. Thank goodness that 6 years ago we bought an extended insurance policy to cover all the systems in the Monty. The insurance company told CW that they would pay for the new cooling system and labor or if I wanted to pay the difference they would OK a new refrigerator. I jumped on the offer, CW even had it in stock. So far so good, I pick the trailer up tomorrow.

Take a look at the units available from: http://www.rvcoolingunit.net/servlet/StoreFront

We got one for our unit, a lot different from the OEM units.
