Triple steps

I have a triple-step, 26" wide, 8" tread depth, 7" rise.
I am a parts dealer, but Stromberg=Carlson does not make them.
Elkhart Machinery does not make them and no-one carries them. Keystone probably bought them from Chiner...
I am checking with Jim at Lifestyle RV in K.C., he is calling the factory.
Anyone had luck finding them, and if so how much $$ ??
Thanks!

Edit...Edit.OK, got them ordered from my Keystone dealer, the new ones are curved steps. (Hope they are power-coated and stand up better)

OK one more Edit, the dealership spoke too soon..
They are still looking.

Dang South Padre salt-filled sea air... I did love it there...

That's the problem I have been encountering, all of them are 24" wide. How wide are yours?
I got 2 calls from Jim at our Montana dealership, he spoke too soon, all he can find are 24" steps.
He said he would keep looking.

Can you make a modification to your step frame with some kind of spacer and use the 24"?

Why not just have them blasted and powdercoated again?

I have found in life it is better to progress, I am not a big fan of making the steps smaller, they are safer and better looking being the same size as the door width.
I am also stubborn, if the steps are 26" I want 26" replacements. They probably made thousands of trailers with 26" step treads, one would think that they would have replacments... Darn it!

I am hampered by my rapidly approaching departure date. I also didn't think about it until I refinished the King Pin, it looks so nice, I wanted to fix the steps.

My steps are 24" wide, but the overall width of the enclosure is 27 1/8" which is the dimensions in the drawings on the Lippert page.

Strange. Mine are a true 26" step, but the enclosure is the same as yours.

Ozz,
It appears to me you have a bad case of the "VANISHING VENDOR". Not fatal, but does require the customer to make concessions. Sitting in Grapevine Tx. and glad I'm not in Ok tonight. You need to hit the road before the STORMS get you.

Ha! I was just checking the forecast, rain next 6 days here and in the middle (Topeka) Kansas, I didn't want to get caught in the holiday traffic anyway. It is going to be clear weather after the storms and holiday pass, so we will hit the road then.
How's that schedule coming along? Rain delay?

Ozz....you may want to look into the 4-step model. My 2011 3750FL came with the 3-step model and I saw the 2012 model with 4-steps. Keystone may be moving this way. Just something to consider. Good luck!

The width is what I am having trouble with, what is your step width?
I would have to check the mounting to ground distance, my 3400RL may be a different height. (But I would check that if the width is correct.)

Hey Pat!
Oh, I spent 3 winters on South Padre Island, it pretty well ruined a bunch of stuff on my Monte, the steps one of them, my steel looks 10 years older than it really is. I want to change the steps to some new Powder-coated ones that move freely, but may have to just overhaul the ones I have. All the replacements are a smaller step, mine are wider.
No Biggie, but Sue works the steps, I want them to be nice for her.
I refinished the pin box, it was rusted also, it looks nice now.
Hope you are well and having fun.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Yes I saw those, but with the rounded corners and dropping an inch in width, I don't know if I would be happy with them. I'm not a big fan of the ugly perforated steps as well.
I don't know yet if Keystone can come up with the right ones.
I will be on the road in a week or two at the most, can't wait too long to do something.

OZZ,
http://www.rvtruckparts.com has this triple electric set. Product ID #: 904009025 It is 25-7/8 wide at the top but the bottom step is 24". Are your steps set up that way also?

I would need the #1224, but in a 26", non electric 3 step. All my steps are the same 26"
I appreciate you looking.

Hey Ozz, why not check with some of the RV salvage places around? You can search them out on Google and if not let me know, I have a sight to go to to look up all salvage places across the US, if I can find it in all my collected RV sites! If you're lucky, they just may have your steps. I know when we were up at Goshen and went to several of the RV Salvage places up there, they had nearly everything one would want. I picked up several things that I thought I would need down the road just incase they went out!
