32 inch LCD TV not working

Our Sylvania 32 LCD TV isn't working. When I turn it on the green light comes on and the screen says Digtal Television for a few seconds and then it shut off. Anyone had this problem. I tried holding the menue key and several other combinations but nothing seems to work. No other inputs work either like DVD.

Gary -
Have you tried unplugging it for a while and then plugging it in again? Also, make sure there aren't any circuit breakers anywhere. Have you hit the menu button to see if you can access any of the programming features? Just trying to offer some ideas, but you may have already tried them.

We have the same problem. The dealer we are working with obtained approval for us to have an authorized Sylvania repair shop examine and repair the TV. It's in the shop now. We hope to have the set back this week.

We picked up the TV from the repair shop yesterday. The inverter PCB assembly was defective and it was replaced. The part number was 1ESA19608. There was no charge for the PCB assembly, however, the labor was $125. I've reinstalled the TV and it works. Now the problem will be to receive reimbursent from Montana via the local dealer.

Well my dealer Thompson RV in Davenport Iowa came through again with excellent service. I dropped the TV off along with a broken handle on the vacum hose on Monday. Friday morning I called and they had been approved to give me and new TV and order a new hose. They had the TV already on Friday and have me a new hose out of a box to which they will replace when the ordered on comes in. So Friday I picked up both. The old TV was a Sylvania and the new one was a panasonic which I was happy about. My one year warrenty was up on Thursday so any new problems my be more difficult.

Wow, an even trade from a Sylvania to a Panasonic!!! Wonder if this means Panasonic tvs will be the electronics of choice in Montanas at least for the time being?

My 09 3400 is in for warranty repair right now. One of the problems is my flat screen stopped working. No light no nothing. Tried plugging it into another working outlet and still nothing. left unplugged for hours and still nothing. I'll call my dealer tomorrow and see what's going on.

Dealer told me they ordered a new TV from Keystone, so I'm waiting to see what brand they replace it with.

Had the same problem while I was on an 8 week trip thru the southwest in my new 2955 last year. Sylvania customer service said unplug it for a while, plug it back in and try it. I did. That accomplished nothing. Used the bedroom TV for a couple days and tried the Sylvania again. It worked!!! Three days later it died again. Same routine and it came back to life again, but now I know this TV is a piece of junk. When I got home and to my dealer he got an OK from Montana to replace it with a new Sylvania which he did. Have had no problems with the replacement (hope I'm not jinxing myself!)
Montana gets the "piece of crap" TV back from the dealer and guess what?????
IT WORKS.....big surprise. Give it a couple days and it'll quit again. But now they're hassling the dealer
to pay them for the "piece of crap" TV that "works fine". Go figure.
My dealer, Don's RV in Ceres, Ca has been top notch. In the Cal central valley and need help call him.

Just got off the phone with my dealer who has had my unit since 6/15. I first called Keystone to find out why they are taking so long with warranty parts and the TV. Denise at Keystone stated only trim was ordered (no TV) on the 17th of June and it was shipped on the 24th. she also stated my unit is still listed as "unsold" and said I should have my dealer register my unit. so I called my dealer (A&S) and asked for Paul the service mgr. He claimed the part was just received 7/9! and stated that keystone is no help with "electrical parts and microwaves". He said Keystone buys clearance TV's and when they don't work, he has to "shop around" for a replacement TV that fits the opening. Why am I getting that "sick" feeling? Anyway, he said he would personnally go thru the warranty repairs with me tomorrow. I'll let you know what happens!

Took my 2009 Monty 3400, purchased in September, 2008 into the dealer for Warranty repairs on 6/15 and today, 7/11/09, I returned from my dealer without my Monty… Here’s why.

The 32” TV was in-operative. The dealer never contacted Keystone and went out to buy a replacement on his own. He claims Keystone buys clearance TV’s and when they break under warranty, its up to the dealers to find one that fits. Here’s the problem, the one he found was a 32” Insignia brand (original was a Sylvania) and sure it fits with a 1.5 inch gap on the left, right and top, and a 5 inch gap on the bottom! It looks like I bought the trailer w/o a TV and installed an aftermarket one. He then told me that’s all Keystone will authorize and I would have to call Keystone.

I left the trailer and said I wanted a “custom fit” TV just like I purchased 10 months ago.

The TV I was given to replace the Sylvania was undersized too in comparsion to the orginal space. I didn't mind though since it will allow me to install the DVD system under it and fill up the space.

Had trouble getting a digital signal to the bedroom tv last night. So I tried turning on my 32" Sylvania this morning it took a few times to get it to come on. But no signal there. So I called the dealer for suggestions. When I went back out to try the 32" it doesn't even turn on now. Tried New batteries and the power button but nothing. Time to call the dealer back.

I had the same problem. The TV they replaced it with did not fit the opening in the cabinet...it was too small. I ended up going to the service center in Goshen and they replaced the TV with a Samsung and fix the cabinet to fit the TV.
