Hitch Consideration
Besides the Andersen Hitch (I am leaning against), I am looking at the B & W Companion, Reese and Pullright. Comments, especially if you have used more than one of these. All will fit the pucks in the bed of my truck.

We really like our Reese 20K with slider. Haven't had to use the slider, but glad I have it if I have to. The Reese is very solid, but very easy to operate.

I have a B&W 3600RVK now and it fits (and is specifically engineered for) the RAM puck system. I get ZERO chucking (either stopping or starting). It's a well designed hitch with close tolerances. Easy to install and remove. I had a Pullrite previously.

I have the B&W. I got it for the new truck. Fits well into the Ford factory installed base. Easy to install. Easy to take out. I put locks on the locking arms so that they stay put while traveling and so no one can borrow it. It come out in two pieces, so not as heavy to lift out of the bed. With the new truck and hitch I found that the safety pin for the jaw lever was attached to the rear of the hitch. With the wheel well sticking out, it was hard to get. Got one of those grabber arms, now no problem.

I had a Pullrite Super 5th in my previous truck and really liked it. Would have bought one for the new truck but they did not have it to fit the puck system yet. So I bought the Reese Elite. I like it also. It also has the wrap around type latch mechanism.
One thing I like about the Reese Elite is the arched base. I can slide long things such as several pieces of 8' lumber under it.

We have the B&W Companion and love it. Ours is the one that swaps out with the Turn-over gooseneck ball. Very solid.

We use the Hensley TrailerSaver and really like it. Smooth ride. Easy to hitch up.

Thanks for the input. More to think about. I will need to order it Monday or Tuesday to have it in my truck soon enough to p/u the new 5er. We use our truck to haul things other than my trailer. That's why I looked at the Andersen hitch, ease of removal. It sounds like the B & W may fit that bill, although heavier than the Adnersen.

We have the Pullrite 25k with 6k pin weight...yea..over done but love it....fits the Ford system perfectly...the head works just like the old Pullrite slider I had in the older truck...just doe not slide now....easy and auto locks....

we have had the anderson since may 2015 it works well with our b&w turnball. on our 2008 f350. pulled from oklahoma to south dakota over the june25-july 4th period
then back home and to beaver lake arkansas labor day weekend. the hitch is easy to install and works great so far no problems, no chucking and a smooth ride. it is rated for
24,000 gvw and hitch wt of 5,000lbs. so far we love it.
