Got a quote for Diana from Horizon ($1,500) and forwarded it to her for follow up. They can do it and get her rig to her! Asked that she keep us posted. She'll have to work out w/Horizon, should she choose to go that way, the details of the border crossing. Also, for those of us that would like contribute, we'll need details from her re. mailing address, etc. Hope this works out, hitch and all.

If money will help in this situation-
why not just post where to send the $$. We will be glad to contribute.
If Rich is going to coordinate this undertaking maybe we should send it his way.
There but for the grace of God.......you all know the rest.

I got a very nice email from Diana!!! She's going to be contacting Horizon Transport, but is also considering taking their TV and her son to SC and hauling the rig home. She'll let us know what she decides. It is so nice to know that so many MOC folks are concerned and willing to help in whatever way they can!!!

From the above post by Chris it appears that Diana has a plan. Suggest we standby and let her let us know what she will do and what ,if any help she needs.

This might help. The Pull-Rite plate on the kingpin can be removed and then any 5W Hitch can pull the fifth wheel camper. I be glad to get in the flow. I'm in WV, between Charleston and Huntington, 5mi off I-64. PM me if anyone thinks I can help.

I personally think it would be best to collect contributions and than hire a professional company to do this. My main concern would be paper work and liability.

There seems to be conflicting information on the pullright and the adapters and can a regular hitch work or not.. we have a post that says no and one that says yes???? The price quoted by Horizon Transport was right were we thought it would be. I see 350.00 in pledged help and a couple of pledges to "help put".The pull right question is again up in the air.IMO this is Diania's call..Capn Chris is doing a outstanding job in co ordinating. Those of us who are able will help in whatever way we can. My Vote would be with jjackflash but again it is the families call. Our insurance company says we woud be insured pulling anothers camper but if we received any kind of compensation would be considered "Commerical" with the involved problems. Of course who would know that it was not my camper but crossing the border might be a problem. So IMO the two most reasonable methodes would be for the family to somehow drive it up or hire a transport company who has the were with all to get it done..

Dear Every one here --

I just read through all these posts. You people are absolutely the best. When I think about all your love traveling and being shared all over this country, Canada and where ever else your trucks turn...

...you fill my heart with warmth and my days with hope.

Thank each and every one of you for being who you are and for sharing yourself with the rest of the world.

I have to thank all of you for your kindness, I apologise for not having come onto the Montana site for a while but my life has not been very easy recently. I have sold my house and am buying a house together with my son and family a few miles away from here. I still cannot get over what has happened as it was so fast but at least the Monty is home and Outdoor Travel have it on consignment. Colin so loved that 5er and the last day looking at her hitched to the truck was very emotional. Thanks again everyone, you have been so kind. Diana
