Hi Jeff,
I ordered the TST system for 4 tires. When installed, the system showed 70 PSI when in fact the tires had 80 PSI in them. I verified with different tire gages. All had similar readings. I contacted the company and without hassle, they sent me a complete new 4 tire system. Got the same results. With two systems in hand, I was able to interchange tire units and dash monitors. I got the same results. Tech support said they were experiencing some problems where the valve stem was not being depressed enough because the pin that depressed the valve stem was plastic and after time the plastic was mashing down. The new and improved model had an aluminum pin that depressed the valve stem fully. They sent me 4 more new tire monitors with aluminum stem depressors and now I'm trying every combination I can think of and got the same result.
At the last Spring rally at Seven Feathers I went to Costco and bought new tires for the Truck. They put new metal valve stems in the truck rims. They also put nitrogen in the tires. At that time I had them verify the pressure on the truck was exactly 80 PSI. The TST system still reported 70 PSI. Of course Tech Support verified that my programming was correct. While I was disappointed that I could not come up with a system that worked as advertised I have to say TST returned my money and we parted friends. You can't go wrong. If I were you I'd give them a try. The price is right, the size is perfect, and the support is excellent. Hope this helps,
John
