Load range F tires

Has anyone else considered load range F tires instead of E or the G614s. They have 3900+ lbs rating at 95 psi, priced reasonable if you can find them.

I'm thinking of switching but can only find Kenda (not familiar with) and Carlisle (had a set once, but peeled the tread).

Help.

Kenda and Carlilse both build excellent ATV tires. The rest of their product line, not so good. I would not recommend either brand for use on any type of fifth wheel or travel trailer.

As far as load range F goes, it would be a great choice if they were available from a dependable manufacturer. There are some out there, but they are few and far between.

Even with quality tires the problem with getting tires that are hard to find is just that. When you have a flat or ruin a tire for any reason will a replacement be available in that area?

Agree that you should stay away from both tire brands mentioned.

Ouch, guys. I found Karrier, Hercules, Load Star, Tow Max and Power King but those aren't familiar either. $300+ 3750 lbs 614s are a little rich compared to $175-215 3900lbs. Ugh!
Are there any good, reasonably priced national brands out there?

I think the old saying "You get what you pay for" may very well apply here. There has to be a reason why those brand are so much cheaper. Probably too much Lead in the rubber!

I don't know what RV you have, but unless it's up in the 36' - 40' range with several slides ... a good light truck tire 235 85 R16 is worth considering. Several of us run them with peace of mind equal to the G614 crowd. Take about #2000 pin weight off your total unit weight ... that will give you a good idea of what's sitting on your units axles. The down side to an odd size or brand to save a couple of hundred bucks is what happens if you're out somewhere and shread a tire?

I would go with a good load range E light truck tire. These tires are readly available if you needed a replacement. I guess that the two brands you discuss are ST tires. My experience with LT tires is far better than any ST tire.
