IOTA Transfer Switch Recall

Hi,
I recently purchased an 09 Montana 3400RL in gorgeous condition. Shortly after buying it I received a recall notice about the IOTA transfer switch. I have the unit set up in the boonies of Colorado, and it's a far piece to the nearest dealer. It's hooked up to shore power and we do not use a generator at all. My first question is, where is the darn thing? I have searched from top to bottom and cannot find it. Under the stairs going to the bedroom is a box with many wires going into it. When I turn on the Living Room lights a fan comes on in that box, I assumed that is the inverter? Is that the transfer switch?

Next question is, if I do not use a generator, can I continue to safely live in this thing until I can drag it 240 miles to a dealer to get it fixed? Or should I just buy a new transfer switch and change it out? (I'm pretty handy)

Thanks for your input!!! And Merry Christmas!

In our 2009 3075RL the IOTA is on the passengers side in the basement behind the rear wall. Remove the rear wall of the basement and you'll find it.

I never gave our xfer switch a second thought. We're either plugged in or dry camping without a genny set. I did have it replaced via the recall for piece of mind.

I had them replace it with the recoil. Primary reason was if for some unknown reason you had a short that caused a fire and the insurance company you would have a hard time getting them to cover your lost.

Wife and I built the 6A and have been flying her since 2000. It's been a few years but there used to be an RV Fly-in in Las Cruses. The Land of Enchantment fly-in. We always attended.

So what do you fly now?

Unfortunately I didn't build mine, but I sure enjoyed it! Flew her about 700 hours, what a delight. Sold it and bought another Bonanza for the room. But still miss that little speedster.
