LED strip lighting

Okay, most of you know I'm a bit of freak when it comes to lighting. I found some waterproof strip lighting and wired it to my panel...

Sorry to ask and steal your idea but where did you fine the strip lights, and what kind of lights they are. I am looking at doing the same thing to mine when we arrive at night. Now that my wife cant seem to get out of work on time it seemed that we get to the camp grounds in the dark and it is very hard to see along side of the camper.

I just found some thru amazon, a 16.4 ft strip runs about $15 dollars and you can even buy color changing remotes for it

Michael and Kat,
Nice! Those side lights are a nice safety feature. Thanks for sharing. Dennis

Granted it's 120 volt, but I've done similar and installed an 18' section of rope light under the frame from the entry steps around the front back around to about the sewer tube. I used the plastic clips that came with the rope light and self tapping screws. I hard wired it with a switch installed on the side of the cabinet as you enter the fiver. Michael's lights are considerably brighter.

We currently have rope lights that completely encircle the rig on a dawn to dusk switch to keep the packrats away. Installing those all the way around might be an answer.

We've been working with the manufacturer to make some 5 meter waterproof strips for us. They are 12 volt and put out a nice bit of light.

As for affixing it to the frame rail, I cleaned it and then put a bead of clear silicone down. I had already run wires to the light illuminating the steps so it was about a 15 minute job.
