Go Cubs!

They have been a real treat to watch all year. This extremely young talented team is refreshing. They are clean cut youngsters just out there having fun. Two on their team have beat cancer. It is extra special this year for us because Zobrist graduated from the same high school our kids went to and the DW retired from.

They deserve to win tonight, but if the score says otherwise at the end of the game they are still winners in my book. What a great 2016 professional team.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Go Wahoo

Cleveland made a deal with the devil. The devil said you are going to host the republican national convention. Cleveland said to do that we need a championship team. The devil said by the way the republican candidate is Donald Trump. Cleveland said in that case we need two championships.

As a Red Sox fan, I know a thing or 2 about curses. The Sox finally got past the curse of the Babe in'04. I root for the Cubs because of the long, long time it has taken to get this far, but I really don't have a dog in the fight, thankfully. Heck, at least Cleveland got the NBA championship! At the time of my post, you can see the series is over and the Cubs did it. Congratulations to you long-suffering fans! GREAT series!

What a sports adventure to witness! We stayed up until after 2am (Florida time) watching all the post interviews. As many will learn this morning Ben Zobrist got MVP for the series. What a heart warming true American story for him! Grew up in a small community in central Illinois, raised by a respected religious family. He is not a flashy kind of guy, heck he rides a bicycle to almost all of the home games.

For me, in a year when some NFL players are refusing to stand in respect for our nations freedom at the start of games, it is a treat to watch this group of clean cut black, brown, yellow, and white players all come together as one and be rewarded for their efforts!

What a series. And what better way to end it than extra innings in the 7th game. Will go down as one of the great ones.
A shame that one team had to lose in this one.

Yup...I'm a Phillies Phan but gotta hand it to the Cubs. Down 3-1 and win 3 straight. Only watched 7 innings of game 7 but those 7 innings had everything...that's why baseball is such a great sport to watch!!

As a life long Cubbies fan I stayed up late last night and saw history made, what a great series and a nice diversion from all the political BS that we are all swimming in these day!
