Snow

Got to see a picture of our lot, in Lakewood, NM, with a Montana on it in the snow. Just the luck of the draw, but Curtis and Stephanie Matthews happened to stop at Lakewood and the lot we just purchased could still be rented until the end of the year so they put them on our lot and Curtis sent me a picture of their rig in the snow. Since it is MOC folks and friends we sent an email to the manager to tell her to let them stay as long as they want or need too. From the picture and the weather forecast they may not want to move real soon.

We got lucky here in Omaha because the forecast was for 8-12" last night. It came in over the early morning and snowed all day BUT it was the small flakes and not much real moisture in it. It was very light to shovel. The wind was moderate here but don't know what it was like out at the farm 40 miles away but I'll be finding out on Wednesday. We only got about 6" here with very little drifting. It was suppose to have been a blizzard but we got lucky as I said. At least it wasn't like the Christmas Eve storm that came through. 1=2" of snow predicted and we ended up with 12" and about 3/4 of that is still on the ground under the 6" we got today. We have family down in El Paso and they were not ready for the snow they got. 6" to them is like 2-3' to us. Hope all of our MOC family down there in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona are all safe and doing well. Take are and we'll hope things warm up for you all down there. For us, I don't see any warm up until at least late March or early April! Time to think about hooking up and getting out of here but with the weird weather in all directions to the South of us that may not be safe either!

Lows around 30-35 this week. Highs around 50-63 predicted. The sun warms things up quickly here in the Texas Hill Country. When the sun comes up, the shades come up. Just got a text from a park neighbor who went home (southeast Wisconsin), for Christmas. He said they had 6" of wet heavy snow and 32 degrees. I sure love Texas in the winter. Happy and prosperous new year to all of you!

After 10 years of no snow we kind of miss it just a little bit. 87 here again today and very humid.
