When you take it to the experts, tell them that the pump did not open the slides when you tried it with the manual method. They can bench test the system then and hopefully save you some labor costs for troubleshooting from square one. It really does not sound like an electrical problem, but rather that the pump motor has went out. Keep in mind that when using the drill, the slides will take a while to start moving and really take a long time to extend and retract. However, if they do not move at all, then you are most likely looking at a motor replacement on the hydraulic pump and or the hydraulic pump itself. When they replaced mine on the 3400, they replaced the whole assembly.
