Power Awning

My awning does not retract evenly. The awning rolls up on a slight angle and as a result the arms to not seat properly.
Any suggestions?

The awning material has probably shifted on the roll up part. Slide the part on the roller towards the direction that the material is angling up. That should correct the problem. Some time I can push the side arms forward or back a little to make it lock in if the skew is not too bad.

Hope this helps, good luck and let us know how you do.

Safe travels.

You might find it helpful, after sliding awning, to run screws through awning rail and awning together, prevents further slippage. Awning rail is the slotted aluminum at top of awning. At our shop the tecs put one screw through each end. I do not recommend a screw in the roller. you might try a drop of silicone in the track at the end of the fabric on the roller. Larry

My awning fabric seems to like to shift on the tube as well ... I moved the fabric in the slot on the tube to where it rolls up correctly and made a mark with a permanent ink marker. That way it's easy to get it aligned if need be several cycles down the road. I agree about NOT screwing anything into the awning tube itself.
