Insurances

Can anyone tell me if they have or have had, Farmers Insurance. What was your feelings about how they operate as a company. I'm looking into insurance for both wifes car and my tow vehicle 07 Dodge. Currently have The Hartford. Not sure we are getting the best bang for the buck. We had to replace the rear window on our 2011 Kia and Novus glass said Hartford is the hardest to get paid for this service. Give us your review. Thanks

I had Farmers for many years until my old Mercedes had hail damage and their claim adjuster told me she never saw a Mercury with a grill like that and sent me to Willy's body shop for an estimate. He said a couple small dents in the grill wouldn't hurt anything and did not need to be replaced

Had Farmers for almost 40 years, with the same agents, brothers, and had excellent service. Therein lies the rub, I think many good/bad experiences with insurance companies are agent related. The only reason I dropped them was because we went fulltime, and changed our address to SD. The company they link up with didn't compare to the Good Sam coverage we have for the TV and Montana.

Thanks for the info, I do have Good Sam for the Montie. I have Hartford for the car and truck. They have raised rates a couple of time lately. Our local Novus dealer said they are the worst for paying their bills on time. So they for one don't like doing business with Hartford. I will check with Good sam see if they will be able to cover the other vehicles for a lower premium. Thanks again.
