Water Issue

I got up this morning showered all fine a little while later turned on hot water at the sink....nothing...not just no hot water but no water at all. This is the same for both sinks and shower. Works fine on cold. I drained and flushed hot water heater...nothing. I turn the water heater bypass valve to bypass and have cold water running through the rv. I am thinking a plugged tank? How would I get to it and how would I fix it. Montana 3500rl

The water heater has a back flow valve that has probably failed. It is needed when you use the water heater bypass. Ozz has posted pictures of it. This link will take you to Ozz's post.

Sounds like a bad check valve on the water heater. I believe it is on the inlet or cold water side of your heater.

RailRoadMike,
Did you fix your problem? Some of us would be curious to know what the problem was. Thanks. Dennis
