Help! re: Basement door panels

Anyone have problems with hinges coming off their basement door panel arms? Seems the short #8 screws come lose - my 3150's only 3 months old and one arm keeps falling off. Replaced with #12 screws but didn't help - just made the hole in the particle board larger and the arm has fallen off again. Checked with other Montana owners in the park and they seem to be having similar problems. We're all looking for a 'permanent' solution.

I believe that Keystone is replacing those cylinders that keep them open. They were too strong. There was a past post on this problem not to long ago

If I remember right Keystone was putting 80# openers on (probably the same ones they used on the beds) and they needed to be reduced to 60#. Call Keystone this should be a warranty issue.

Just fixed mine for now. Checked cylinders they were the 60 #
What I did: placed a "C" clamp on the hinge plate, then removed the screws one at a time , coated with a medium viscosity super glue (has a longer setup time), then replaced back into panel. That was two weeks ago, actually checked today all was tite. Time will tell!

What cjonhson said - super glue!!! The material in which the screws are put is just too viscous (okay, not the right word, but you get the point). I did a similar fix on our underbed storage where I had to us 140# cylinders.

Our 3150 had the same issue. Luckily one of them tore off at the dealer lot when we were having something else fixed. So they took all the screws out on both doors and put in rivets and changed to 60# cylinders. Have not had another issue. They told me if they pulled out again they would put metal plates in place between the screw and cylinder.
