Replies to "Black Tank and Remote Problems"

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post about the problems I am having with the black tank monitor and the remote control for my new 2011 3150 Montana. I got back a lot of good information that has really helped.

As for the remote, I was never told by the dealer nor Keystone about the programming feature and instructions that are mounted on the bulkhead up above the batteries. Nothing about it in the user manual either. That is good information to know . . . I am surprised they keep it so secret! I haven't reprogrammed it yet, but chances are, since I did replace the battery, that reprogramming might take care of the remote problem.

As for the black tank monitor problems, it seems my best bet is to just have a reliable system installed. I came across a system that is being sold by Camping World; the "i-series" that is made by Tech Edge Manufacturing. The price is not too bad, but I couldn't get an estimate on what the installed price would be. The Camping World closest to me, in Boise, Id, doesn't know much about them either. I Was told it is a brand new item for them and they have not had any experience with it yet.

The system has supposedly been out for several years. Is anybody out there using it, or know anything about it?

Ken, I like it. I found one on Ebay you might want to bid on.
I installed a similar one on mine, not difficult.

I think it comes with 3 sensors

I've been looking at that concept for years and wish the manufacturers would offer it as an option rather than having to buy it after market and open the belly to install it. It's good to see that Ozz went that route and likes it. That's an endorsement I would trust.
