12v light question

Three of the four lights in the large living room slide will not come on now. We were driving in rain Wed and lights would not come on when we set up. After a few hours, the lights did come on. Now it has been raining all day and the lights won't come on again. Not sure where to start looking for the short. This is in the living room slide and it's the 2 lights over the couch and the smaller one over the kitchen table under the cabinet. The large light over the kitchen table works. Advice and where to start or what to look for.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas. Rick

Rick,
You are looking for an open. Shorts blow fuses. I would start the the light that works. Remove it from the wall and see if the wires are secure. If not there, then one of the three that do not work until you find the loose "open" connection.
Good luck. Let us know what you find.

Our large light over the table is 110V. I've not looked at the small round one over the sofa to see if it is 110 or 12V so can't help with it. The other 2 under the cabinets are 12V. We also have a wall light between the table and sofa which is 110V. It looks like you could have a 12V problem in the slide wiring. Is there a junction box under the slide which could be getting water? It's late and dark out so cannot look at our now.

John is right, you have an open, not a short. The problem usually is in the last place it is working or the first place it isn't. Good luck.

Well, I finally had a chance to get to the lights and there was no loose connection in any of the 12v lights inside. We received 5" of snow yesterday so it will be a little while before I can go out under the slide and look. There is a junction box under the outside that is next on my list to check.

Try grounding the first light. So times the ground come loose durning movement.
