DIY Slide out roof

I have an idea for a more sturdy slide-out roof than the awning type. I'm not sure how I would attach them yet. They would basically consist of metal or fiberglass roof panels and some wood framing.
Can anyone show me yours?

Thanks

I would guess you're sitting at one spot for an extended period of time? Some RV parks are not too receptive to "innovative" owner mods to the exterior of their rigs ... I know of a couple that won't even short stay rent to pop-ups.

We are in a very nice well kept laid back place. A little more rustic but definitely not trashy very clean and quiet. My plan will look nice not redneck (even though I basically am one ) It is a permanent site and Ill only take them down in late fall for winter they should be able to store underneath the camper for winter. Just thought I'd see if anyone else had come up with something similar especially for attaching without screwing into anything.

Way too windy anywhere we go to have something up there not fastened down. Even satellite dishes get blown off the slides in KS and NM occasionally.

Only thing I've seen that wouldn't require modifying or putting screw holes in your 5er would be somewhat permanent supported roofs going over everything. I've seen many at yearly leased spots (probably when leased for more than a couple of years). That's probably quite a bit more than you're thinking of, but it would cover everything and still leave you able to pull out whenever you wanted.
