Awning position

We have a 3402rl with an electric awning. The trouble is when it rains only 3/4 of the steps are covered. The awning arms are on the outside of the step. The awning fabric is centered on the roller. Could I slide the awning on the roller and trailer bracket so it covers step?

On our 3402, it is the same way, but you won't be able to move the fabric enough to do much good. You would do better rigging a large umbrella over the area between the slide and the awning so you had the gap covered. It's pretty risky having the awning out with stormy conditions, you could lose the entire awning in a big gust of wind.

Thanks for the questions and replies. I do see now that it is just the nature of the beast and will have to live with it. Could be worse. I usually do have the awning in during ugly weather but right now we are parked in a heavily forested area were genearly wind is not an issue just rain and wet steps.

Yep common issue, on my 3735mk and my buddies SOB as well, when it rains it will NEVER keep rain off the stairs, what is funny is I have a slide topper over my slide by the stairs and when it rains it collects rain then DUMPS on the stairs OR my Buddies heads as they knock on my door

A small umbrella between the awling and the slide works great.
