Slides in winter

We are in Florida, and have someone wanting to look at the 5th wheel in Michigan. Is it okey to run the slides in the winter? Have never done it so don't know if its a bad idea or not. Thanks, and Happy 'Trails, Steve and Susie

Before we were able to follow the sun we frequently ran the slides out in the winter. They should be aware, however, that if the slides stop every so often and you have to wait for the breaker to reset it's because the fluid is very thick and the modification to end this issue hasn't been done (unless of course you've taken care of that problem). Won't hurt anything and it doesn't mean anything is wrong.

If you don't have slide toppers and it snows while the slides are out, it is best to sweep snow off prior to retracting the slides.

Thanks everyone for the help. Our helper in Michigan said the slides ran smooth as can be. I do keep the rails well cleaned and greased and I suppose that helped somewhat in the movement. Now to wait and see if we get ann offer, or are they just sight seeing as they had nothing else to do??? Happy Trails, Steve and Susie
