Suspension question
2018 Montana HC 381TH (triple axle).
Is the Moyr ride CRE 300 shackles good quality or the poor quality? What would you replace them with?

Don't know much about that system, but if you have the $$ and would like the very best, go to Mor Ryde and have there IS installed (Never saw it on a triple axle ) but I don't see why it cant be done.
More importantly, check the tires on your unit. If they are the typical Chinese cheap/junk E rated ST trailer tires GET THEM OFF NOW!!!!! and save yourself the trouble that WILL COME. Get some good G rated 14 ply tires installed. Goodyear G614 or Sailun S637 are some examples.
Trust me when I tell you that you will regret not replacing the tires if they are E rated junk. I have seen way too many blow outs on trailers with these tires and have witnessed it several times traveling with others in my group. All I saw was a lot of smoke in my rear view mirror.
When I pulled over and walked back to lend a hand there trailer damage was unbelievable !!!!!!

The Dexter Heavy Duty shackles that you buy aftermarket are 1/2" thick. Measure yours and compare.

The 4000 is better, but the 3000 is still a big improvement over the basic springs and shackles with no wet bolts.

Wet bolts are greasable bolts with a zerk fitting on the head of the bolt and it’s drilled to place grease into the sleeve of the suspension parts. The style that isn’t greasable has plastic bushings where the bolts go so everything will be dry, that is, no grease.

you should be able to see the wet bolts in this pic. There is one at every joint.
The wet bolt system is far from perfect, since all the bronze bushings in my suspension were totally worn out. The pic is the entirely new suspension I install lass summer

Ok that's what I expected but wanted to make sure. Thanks.
What brand and model of suspension would y'all consider the best?

I had an mor-ryde lre 4100 which had the wet bolts. I had one of the wet bolts break. I recommend always carrying an extra wet bolt or in my case an grade 8 i believe 1/2 '' bolt and locking nut just in case one breaks.I had the I.S. installed after that happened and i'm very glad i did.

We had the Morryde Indepant suspension upgrade done last May to our 2011 Montana in Elkhart. Then took a cross country trip. Have not notice any improvement to the ride. Also everything still moves around in the cabinets when traveling.
At the same time, we had the disk brakes installed - wonderful improvement!!
