Shower Head

It seems to me that someone mentioned a different shower head that provided more pressure. I'm almost positive this was in the last year but I did a search and couldn't find it. If anyone remembers this please help and refresh my memory. Just got through showering and I need more pressure.

You might try removing the WATER SAVER WASHER....just remove the Shower Head take a look...might help. I think the best would be to REPLACE the Shower head with a higher quality unit.

Send a message via MSN to Parrothead
The size of water hose you are using makes a difference also.
Happy trails..........................

I just recently got a tremendous boost in water by removing the water restrictor in the base of the shower head. Unscrewed the head from the hose, used a pointed tool to grab the metal keeper & was then able to pull out the pink filter/restrictor. What a difference. Mike

Hi Mac....I found a shower head at CW called the Body Spa. I like it alot and after seeing it in action both my dad and uncle bought one for themselves after a visit about a month ago....Mike

mac,
If you are using a filter on your water hose, you might try removing that for showering. The slower gallon per minute flow rate on the filters really reduces the water pressure. Just a thought...

PS~ You need to update your signature picture. I want to see that new Duramax in front of your coach...

The pressure regulators that most of us use really slow down volume. Water pressure in each campground varies drastically but the regulators we use cut back the same volume in each campground. I found these pressure regulators (model IR56) where you can dial in constant pressure.

Works really well for us.

Sounds like it must have been the Body Spa, the reviews on CW sound great. I would have sworn the one people were talking about last year was from a "regular" store but I could be wrong, as usual. Thanks for the suggestion!

I replaced mine with a massage unit with variable flows...works a LOT better than the original one. Don't recall the name of it, but you can buy them a RV stores. I also notice if my water regulator is not hooked up the force of water is very high, but I rather use my regulator to save my water lines.

I looked at the body spa - but it looked to scary! Not sure the kids would point it at thier heads .

MAC - you dewinterized yet?? I got a replacement shower head at CW a couple of weeks ago, just something with some adjustments. Not sure how the flow is, but then I never tried the original one either. Should get a chance this weekend at Chatfield if Thursdays snow is gone by then.

BTW, the body spa is 30% off at CW as we speak.

Brad,

I didn't know if it looked that scary or not but it would probably be more so for my wife who's much shorter than I. Yeah de-winterized, spent last Thursday and Friday cleaning and waxing and took it out on a shakedown this weekend. Just for the record that new TV ROCKS, I can't believe the difference and all the power.

Brad,

Thanks for the update on the shower head too. I had put one in my shopping cart last night at CW but I hadn't ordered. Glad I waited a day! They actually adjusted the price in my cart too, I was surprised but pleased at that. I'll let you know what I think when I get it installed.

I bought one of those before I went to Texas in Feb. Those shower heads are great and you don't need to worry about the restrictions in the trailer lines or water filters or whatever they just work great. The only draw back is the holder on the wall of the shower is not as good as it could be for holding that bigger head in travel. So we use on of those robe hooks that you can hang over the top of the shower and hang it on the hook with some towels for padding. Works great. The benefits of this shower head far out weigh the adjustments for travel and the holder on the wall. Al

Al, is the hose any longer than the original? Ours is pretty short, and I'm a short guy.

That I could not tell you with out going to the trailer and comparing the two. I know it's not any shorter as I am 6'1" and I have no trouble with the length of the hose. Like I said though it is a big time improvment over the one that comes with the tralier. Al

Brad: Did Chatfield last weeekend. You can reserve if you want yet today probably. Place wasn't full by any means, but all of the outside (lake side) spots were taken. Weather was great Sunday when it was time to go home again.

Mac: Glad you like that new truck...........they are awesome, aren't they?

BTW: I know last year we all discussed dump sites in our area. Ranger @ Chatfield told me they have initiated a dump fee for people who come in now and aren't camping in the park. Something high like $14.00. He said they are trying to get it down to something more reasonable like $5.00. I'm going to try and keep tabs on this as I do use that dump on occasion when returning from other places.

Clyde,

I reserved a month ago and even then all the lakeside spots were sold out. That's OK, more of a test run anyway. Actually got a lakeside spot at Horsetooth over Mothers Day.
