Ceiling Fan-Is My Wiring Goofed???

I have noticed that in my unit (3400RL) the ceiling fan in the living room is wired weird. I can turn the light on & off with the switch on the wall, but when I shut off the light the ceiling fan continues to run. I have to pull the chain.

Just wondering if this is how it is supposed to be wired, unlike mine in my home when you turn off the wall switch it also shuts off the fan!!!

Any input would be appreciated.
