What to do with that annoying recliner table

..the little one that sits in between the recliners that looked like such a great thing to have???

It just gets in the way (for us anyway) more than it offers any kind of real use...

I hate to just pull it out...any other uses in the 5er you can think of for this pretty but useless little table?

My philosophy for that is much like my one for gardening. If it doesn't fullfill it's purpose, dig it up and get rid of it. As far as the table goes, you might consider giving it to a charity. A small tax write-off ensues and someone who may think it is wonderful may be thrilled to get it. You'll feel better because you didn't just dump it.

Oh no...I never get to just 'dump' anything...I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters...they take it all

Old sheets, furniture, clothes, towels..you name it...but it does look like one of 'em will be getting a very nice little table with a checker board underneath to 'boot'

While towing, we place the rockers back-to-back and tie together with
one of the provided straps (not an original idea, came from this group). We then lay the lamp in one seat, minus the shade and put the little table upside-down in the other chair. After the checker board falls from its mounting, we then turn the lamp shade top down
and insert in the opening that once held the checker board. Nothing moves or gets damaged. Note however, if you use the back-to-back chair method, be sure to put some soft material between the chair backs so the material doesn't get worn from the minor movement that does take place.

We actually use our little table as a coffee table in front of the couch. We had a cabinet made to go between the chairs and use that to store the booze in.

Now your talking

But to add to my 'question' since I don't think I was very clear...for 'us' the table just seems to get in the way after we have set up and are 'laying' the chairs back or 'swivling' them...

I like the coffee table idea in front of the sofa...will have to see how long Austin takes to knock it over if I put it there

When we switched ours chairs and sofa, we put the table at one end of the sofa. Just fits. We use it for magazines and have a flashlight in the drawer. The lamp sits on top. We have it at the end by the computer desk, so my coffee cup or wine glass also sit on it, on a coaster, so as not to knock said liquid into my keyboard. (Been there, done that). We have a little round table on coaster, with shelf, that we use for a coffee table. It was a gift with one of those home decor home party companies but would sure be nice is RVers could buy them. It has 3 legs, top and shelf lift off and then the legs fold together. One shelf (top and shelf same size) is a lazy susan also. We've had it for years. Made of wood.

I hadn't even thought about switching the sofa and chairs...what a great idea...then I'll have room to keep the annoying table and 'use' it.

thank everyone for your suggestions.

Well guys and gals, we still use ours as was designed; between the reclines. I am sure that one day we will get tired of stowing it updside down between the recliners whenever we move. It does give one a place to hold his/her remotes and a cold beer.

We swapped the chairs and the couch a couple of months ago. Now we don't strap anything down when we're on the road. We don't have to move the recliners, they have plenty of room when the slides are closed. The table fits just fine between the recliners and we don't have to fight with it when we break camp. It's worth a try.
