Trouble shooting Air Conditioning
AC stopped coming on last night (only one zone). Tried the reset procedure found elsewhere on the forum. Screen cleared showing normal display then changes to
Zone 1 flashing.
"Somebody provided this reset procedure on this forum awhile back. Not sure it applies to your model.
The four button thermostat reset:
1. Turn all zones OFF.
2. Press and hold temp UP and DOWN buttons together.
3. Press and release MODE button once.
4. Release temp UP and DOWN buttons.
5. Press and release MODE button once again.
6. Thermostat light goes out indicating reset is complete."
Fuses seem ok....
Power getting to thermostat.
Not sure what to try next.

IF that is the proper procedure for resetting the thermostat, (I don't have one and haven't read that info) that should have done it.
BUT, I suggest powering down both the thermostat fuse-heat/cool low voltage fuse, and the breaker to the A/C unit, wait 5 minutes or so, then power back up.
Good luck.

Is it frozen over? I forget how to prevent this but once it happens, the A/C must get turned off until it thaws. Basically, the fins freeze over and the A/C no longer works right.

How can we tell if the thermostat I toast? After we "reset it" using the above directions, it shows all the settings then fades to "Zone 1" only. The AC doesnt come on.

Do the fan settings work? On-Auto, hear any relays 'click?'
If the reset does not work you will need a service. Sounds like the thermostat-control package is bad...or the unit may be. You should hear some control clicking if the controls work.
Sorry to not be more help.

What does your book say when the 'Zone 1' is flashing?
If you don't have a book, 'Google' your thermostat information, you should come up with a 'Doc' with instructions and trouble-shooting info, but I fear it will require service. (New parts)

I am assuming you have this thermostat???
If so, this is the reset procedure directly from the users manual:
16. SYSTEM RESET
a. Turn the ON/OFF switch to #147;OFF#148; position.
b. Simultaneously depress and hold the MODE and ZONE
push-buttons while turning the ON/OFF switch to #147;ON#148;.
FF should appear in the LCD display until the MODE
and ZONE push-buttons are released.
c. When a dip switch is turned on or off after initial configuration, a system reset will need to be done before the
Comfort Control CenterTM will recognize the updated selection.
See figure 11.
If you would like copies of these manuals, PM me with your e-mail address and I will send them to you.
r,
Jack

Update, finally had a great RV service person return my call (two others didn't!). He promptly showed up and trouble shooted the issue. Bad relay, 3 day shipment from Dometic. Should have it fixed this week.
