Gee, and here I figured you'd all be enjoying the break!

That May 15th post mentioned was our last until today. At that time we were on a really good wireless system in a park in Portland, OR. After that, though, we were in some remote areas. We had a couple of overnight stops with no access at all. We've found that to be rare but it does happen. Another place had a 24/7 connection but it was on the office porch in the open air with the heat and lots of flying bugs so I didn't do any more than just email there. Another place we were at in the Black Hills restricted access to 5 minutes. I always went over that limit but just did email. We're now back in Independence, MO, near two of our kids, their spouses, and two of our granddaughters (the youngest will be a year on the 25th). We have a good dialup connection (52.0 and 53.2) right at the Montana so now I'm going to do some catchup. Good to be back. We missed you all! And we survived those horrific west coast fuel prices! We went from paying 2.279/gal for diesel at the highest to paying 1.569 here in Independence. The budget is really ready for a break!

We took our maiden voyage in our new 3400RL to the Black Hills of SD over Memorial Day weekend. We pulled in our spot at the campground and found we were next to another Montana. When we started our routine of setting up, I looked up and saw a piece of paper in the front window of the neighboring Montana. It said "Steve & Vicky Reigle" About that time he walked out the door and I just could not believe it. I felt like I already knew them from the forum Just shows you what a small world we live in. It was truly a pleasure meeting Steve and Vicki after reading all thier posts!
